FAQ
What happens to my donation?
Vargas Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit corporation organized under the laws of the State of Nevada and recognized as a 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service. Your donation is deposited into the Vargas Foundation's bank account together with those of other donors. The board of directors of the Vargas Foundation reviews detailed requests for funding from foster homes or other similar organizations and determines on a monthly or quarterly basis how best to deploy these funds in accordance with its mission.
How long does it take for my donation to get to the charity?
While some donations for smaller projects are sent to the charity within a week or so, most of the time the Vargas Foundation intends to deploy the funds within 60-90 days of their receipt (some projects are larger and require a longer timeframe for fundraising).
What fees are taken out of my donation?
The Vargas Foundation does not charge you a separate fee for its services, but a small portion of donations are used to cover bank processing fees, exchange rate fees, website fees, payroll for administrative services and other similar costs in operating.
Are the directors compensated?
Directors are not compensated.
